Wow, I think we've struck a nerve here...
Don't know where unless someone is a very sensitive and fragile being, but it just reinforces my belief that never get between a mother (or some fathers) and their kid/pet/horse. They expect others to love and want--and excuse--their [insert being here] as much as they do and it's all emotional.

That's a lot of fees, but some don't make sense and some are redundant. Just a quick scan of them:

Wifi upgrade fee? upgrade to what? silly unless they throttle people. If they have to purchase a wifi system to cover the whole campground, then that's a cost to them, so it should be passed on to the users of it. No problem there.
I'm far enough away I don't use any wifi anyway. If need be, I'll get starlink or the like....or just use my fone and/or tether a device to that.

firewood fee? Never seen this. I have seen where firewood is avaible for purchase though and no problem with that as no one works for free. Also, because of bug infestations, a lot of importing wood is illegal in many places.

Visitor fees. Could be valid as some people rent a site then have 'visitors' come and utilize the facilities/utilities. Usually there's a cap on visitors both in number and time as it's not a flop house they're running there.

Early check in fee? You can check in, but then you'll have to wait until the spot is ready for you, so why the fee?
Late check out? Yes, makes sense as sometimes people drag leaving, so the person waiting on that site also has to sit around and wait on them. Not responsible of them.

reservation change fee. again, justified as they set aside a spot for you and if others want it, they can't get it as you reserved it. There are people who reserve multiple sites at the same time, then cancel the ones they aren't going to use. To some of them it's worth a token amount to guarantee they have a spot. Unfair to others tho.
Cancellation fee goes into this too.

resort/booking fees seems to be like when a third party books the site instead of the site themselves. I'm not in favor of third party anything.

generator usage fees? Whose generator? If a camper needs/wants electricity, they should get a spot that has it.
If someone is pulling their rv into a tent, non elect site, then run their generator all the time....well, how would you feel about that if it was 20ft away from your tent? Do you want to camp at a place that sounds like there are leaf blowers going all the time too?
There should be electric sites and non elect sites. No reason for a gen unless the grid goes down.

There should be a seasonal storage fee. If not, then let me know where you live as I'd like to store my RV at your place for free.

some make sense, others don't and doubt many campgrounds have all of those.
Yep, that's a lot of fees. But even if some of those fees were legitimate, I wasn't serious. I was joking around. Surely you knew that?

Now, for "I'll take Why Parks Charge for Dogs for $500, Alex..."

It's not what you think. It's not for insurance, it's not for someone to pick up dog poop, it's because dogs need Internet.

Think about it. A dog left in a motorhome for 8–10 hours a day while his parents are off shopping, day drinking, or exploring a new town can easily burn through 40 GB of data a day. The streaming helps stabilize the environment inside the RV, keeps the dog calm, and reduces barking.

Forty gigabytes a day times seven days is 280 GB a week. If the park's Internet plan is capped at 1 TB, one dog could consume more than a quarter of the entire monthly allotment.

You didn't even considered that the dog might be the real Internet hog in the park, now did you? :p :p

And imagine if the dog has two TVs running. One in the front, one in the back. Columbo on one, The Price Is Right on the other. Now who's supposed to pay for all that canine entertainment?

I'll leave it to you to figure out if I'm serious or not . . .

These days, with all the craziness in the world, I've lost my ability to tell if someone is serious or not. Serious.....often I'm quite baffled but tend to take everyone at what they say. 2D text loses a lot too.

OK though, I'll discard everything you say from now on.......[OK, that was a joke...] In real life, you'd see me grinning as I said that.
