After spending a week in D.C. where windchill brought temps down to -1° F, imagine my joy when I landed in Portland at 9PM and it was 50°F outside. Then the next morning I saw they had completed all the rough siding and roofing. Next comes metal roof, hardie siding, doors, electrical, and paint...

The Hardie Board over Tyvek on OSB is a good choice for your climate up there.

Today the RV Barn starts to get its metal roof...

It's been a while. Siding is up and rough electrical is in. Awaiting inspections, final electrical, roll up door, and paint. Originally they showed up with a traditional sectional door that rolled up on tracks over the RV. Before they unloaded the truck I said "No, an actual commercial roll-up door". Oops. Some more photos.

Is that 50amp receptacle anchored to the back or just the side? And a plastic box?
Plugging and unplugging can place a lot of stress on a side stud mount.
All looking good!

Good point! I will go check and, if not, install a solid wood backing block behind there to secure the inside of the back of the box to. That, and swap out for a metal box. Easier for me to "just do it" then to call the electrician back. Thanks!

No new updates other than I navigated around the debris and dirt piles to provide the rig some shelter as its new home awaits finished electrical, roll up door, and paint.

Yes and no. Yes in the foundation footings around the entire perimeter, but not in the 6" slab itself. I guess we will find out how that turns out for me down the road.
Mine is the same. I am told six inches should be good. Of course I am less than 22,000 lbs.

Julie Newmar can now rest, protected from the elements and plugged into 50A, at her hideout, Catlair West. Commercial garage door came in early and they installed it while I was at my rally.

Now awaiting the garage door electrical outlet to be rewired (commercial openers require commercial wiring vs. a standard wall outlet here for code), rain gutters, and paint.

Best,
-Mark
