I'm new to the formum. I have a question:

I travel by towing a camper (small A-Liner popup). To charge the camper battery I initially thought of charging from the tow vehicle to the battery in the camper.

But often when I set up camp at a location without electricity, I drive to different locations and come back to camp. The battery is not being charged. My idea is to place the camper battery contained in a “box” with other components. The “box” in the tow vehicle and run a cord to the camper after my adventures. The “box” will be portable as I have two vehicles that I use to tow.

Components in box:
Renogy DCC20,
NOCO Genius GENPRO10X1
SOK Battery 100Ah 12V LiFePO4

Inputs:
SAE Connection to solar panel (Renogy 100 Watt 12 Volt Portable Waterproof 20A)
Cable from tow vehicle battery to Renogy DCC20
Extension cord to NOCO Genius

Outputs:
Cable to camper
USB outlets attached to box
12V "cigarette" outlets

Equipment in the trailer using the battery:
Alpicool C15 Portable Freezer
Diesel Heater
USB outlet
12V outlets
Roof vent fan
Lights

I DO NOT have an inverter or running water. I only use 120V when in campgrounds with power.

Any thoughts?

What my family does at our lake lot where we have no power is charge the battery from a big solar panel.

I take it no one is in trailer while you are gone!

Only issues I see are:

Most 12v freezers are poorly insulated. Answer is cart the fridge in the car.

Make sure the charging voltage meets the charging voltage of the batteries, don't take anyone's opinion only the data sheet of the battery.
