Hi I’m very new to this and would like to know if most State and Private RV parks have convienance stores/shops were you can buy milk, meat etc if you run out?

Not so much with state parks but more common with private rv parks. They do charge for the convenience and we seldom take advantage

Welcome to RVF, @Jenny; glad to have you here with us. I think @NWIP hit the nail on the head; few state parks we've been in have them and quite a few private parks seem to. It isn't something you can depend on, however; either for their existence or the selection of what's available. It is always good to ask when you make a reservation. And, our experience is that you certainly do pay for the "convenience" at most of them.

Comes in handy if you're out in the boonies but if there is a Wal-Mart within 10 miles most people will just go there.

I concur - you won't find much at park convenience stores. They don't have enough shoppers to justify keeping basic supplies in stock. Everyone goes to local grocery, etc. to shop.
