Even your drinking water hose has some plasticisers in the plastic that leaches into the water. No attention is paid to materials when they don't have to meet the same standards. PEX is likely the closest to safe for drinking water(not)!
Ya know, bottled water comes in a plastic bottle... Beer comes in a can. Draw your own conclusions.

The hose still contains chromium and cobalt which is used to stabilize the polymers. Other heavy elements are used in the master batch mixed with either prime or off spec resins to color the polymers. Asian made polymers are made from crude oil derivatives, these are dirty plastics. North American made polymers are made from natural gas, much cleaner. I would not use these hoses for drinking water unless they are specifically USDA rated for human use.

One warning! Let it be known you advocate not poisoning God's temple, and you will be treated as I am!

Yes they are! That is unless what is canned is in glass bottles! Plastic is plastic no matter it's form!
which is to protect users from the aluminum which was the last big scare

The Copper Bullet hose now states its lead free. Is there any reason not to use one for city water? I currently carry three white hoses of different lengths. The “pocket” hose would save a lot of room.
I was wondering if anyone else wanted a retractable hose for the rv. I think the retractable would be great for flushing up the tanks and so easy to store. I too have a long white one that takes up a lot of room.

In terms of drinking city water I have an inflow filter another filter in the wet bay a filter in the refrigerator and a filter underneath the sink, I’m thinking I’ve got some pretty good water.
