Interesting, not clear when they will release it, not sure if the long haul industry will get it first

the article doesn't say much about how “HELM” is accomplished, and does specify that it requires an Eaton (manual) trans. So I’d say Stuart is right and this is for the truck market, at least initially.

Maybe they need a volunteer to test it out.

Wouldn’t be a bad thing to have 605 hp in our Superstar 😊

Agreed, how can 605 HP be bad in anything?

It is a 15 liter engine so more than twice the 6.7 liter in the Cummins 2500-3500 trucks.
It will likely be for tractor-trailer rigs given how large size-wise it will be.
Dry Weight: 2,961 pounds
Length: 55 inches
Width: 38 inches
Height: 49 inches

Do you know the Specs on a 8.9 L for comparison
Also curious how it compares to the current 15 L

New Cummins engine has a 48V alternator. Trucks appear to be finally moving towards 48v architecture. See second to last paragraph in Cummins promotion of the new engine.
