2016 HR Vacationer 36DB (class A)

Did full walk through at pickup, everything worked as it should

I drove from WA TO S.Cal. Hooked it to 60 amp power (have safety 60amp plug to verify all is good before I plug in). All green, so hooked up.

As I am enjoying my second day, I am checking stuff out, right side lights inside (drivers side) are not working in kitchen area, one switch in mid bath isn’t working and the ceiling fans in the kitchen and mid bath are not working.

I have disconnected and reconnected, I have reset all breakers.

Both ac are running and seem to be kicking out appropriate temps.

Refrig and freezer working,
Slides and awnings work

I would expect the inside lights to be fed from the 12 volt DC House battery system. And since a bunch of things powered from the 12 volt DC house battery system are operating normally, the battery and power converter serving that system can be presumed to be functioning okay, getting AC power to the converter normally, from the coach being plugged in to shore power.

There should also be blade type automotive fuses in the power panel inside the coach that has the breakers in it, or in an adjacent panel. One of those blade type fuses would supply 12 vDC power to those lights, and the switches out in the coach interior are in line in that 12 vDC lighting circuit.

Some of the breaker and fuse panels include LED indicators by each blade fuse that can light up if the fuse is blown, so no meter check of the fuse is necessary in order to detect a blown fuse (the LED may not light up until the switch is closed to "turn on" the item served by the fuse, tho).

Being a new unit, it may be that the routine vibration of road travel caused a not fully seated wire terminal to drop off or a crimp that was not holding the DC wiring very securely to a switch or lighting item to pull out.

A less likely, but possible condition could be that a wire was chafed in two (by having been routed over a sharp edge at factory build) while driving, in which case the wire path could be broken and no short or fuse blow may occur.

Another possibility is for the negative side of that lighting circuit, the ground wire of the 12vDC lighting, to have worked loose if screwed to the metal chassis or landed on a group grounding bar.

This problem you describe should be something a HR dealer tech can quickly find the cause of by popping out a few light fixtures and switches and doing some meter checks. If you are handy with a meter and can release the switches and lights from their mounting locations yourself and not scar the surface of the beautiful new coach's interior, you might see a loose or disconnected terminal soon after getting started.

(I wrote the above without any insight into your skills and available tooling, so please don't take it as anything other than being offered to you in the hope that this small blemish on the new coach experience can be quickly corrected and give you the full enjoyment of the new machine, with everything working just right. Praying that you always get to enjoy safe travels and happy camping!)
