I’m not sure if Neal wants to move this to another area but we’ll start out here. We have been on the road for about 5 days working our way slowly from the BC interiour to Quebec City Quebec. I thought this board was a good place to track our journey. Our first night was in Revelstoke and the next day we went to see the Revelstoke Dam. Pictures are limited for security reasons but we got a good one outside of Jarvis (our Tesla) in front of the Dam. Coincidentally this is the dam that feeds the grid to our little town about 160 kilometres away so Jarvis got to meet the source of his electrons.
I would recommend the tour to anyone. Our lady who conducted the tour was very knowledgeable. It was 7 bucks and lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. This dam has been finished for about 39 years but they still have capacity for one more turbine as needs grow. They estimate that is probably still 10 years away. They added a turbine about 10 years ago so now there are 5.
When I was in high school our grade 12 glass toured the Mica Dam which is about 140 kilometres upstream. Pretty cool.
We’ll post some more a little later.
