Owning an RV means you have to know how to also fix things yourself! You won't always be in a spot where you can wait for a service visit; lots of online How To videos, and this forum, are always helpful!

Yep, very true. Just making the payments is a small part of the responsible RV owner's job.

Hello, I am asking for help. We just bought a new 2023 Tiffin Phaeton 36SH. When we went to look at the RV the passenger side rear slide would not fully extend due to a broken hydraulic hose. The dealer said they fixed it when they dropped it off at our house but we do not think the slide is fully extending.

If somebody could measure the outside of the rear slide when extended, we would be very thankful. Also, we see cables in our main storage bay. We are not sure if this is common or if the service department did not put panels back to seal the wiring. Could you take pictures of the roof of the main storage bay that has the slide out storage. Do you see cables or are the cables completely enclosed.

We would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you in advance.
The slides don't all come out the same distance. And the slides with utilities need slack so they can operate without ripping something apart.
I think you'll find your slides is out all the way.

Your cabling looks fine to me from your pictures, like I said the wires and such need to be long enough to reach when the slides are out, so there's bound to be some slack. Like was mentioned before, check that slide on the inside, my money is it's a shallow slide. 👍

I just looked at your floor plan, the bed slide and dresser slide are both shallow, the dresser/TV slide looks to be shallowest.

Friend of mine had slide issues with the rear slides as well. 2022.Phaeton.(Known issue). Company in AZ completely rebuilt slide system...8 hour job...$5K later

The only thing on an RV that always works is the owner

Plan a trip to Tiffin to get the work done. In our experience it is best to have the Mfg do the work.
