Filled up in Gillette, WY yesterday @ 5.309 using GL I was going to get fuel in Buffalo, WY at Loves but price was 5.99 using OR

When I left Sunday, the Loves in Mims (OR) was 5.69 or so. I was able to get to the TA in Brunswick, GA and paid $5.41
May not seem like a big difference but I took 105 gallons so thats a $30 savings.

Diesel at a Vancouver WA Costco is $6.599
Diesel at a Portland OR Costco is $5.999

Pretty soon, Washington state will be #2 in the US for the highest gas tax. Calif remains at #1.

Makes me rethink the Klamath Falls OR event coming up with the OR Newmar Group. Its 290 miles down and the same coming back. That means I'll spend $497 (Oregon pricing) just for gas for the event, not including the rally fee and the campground fee.

I think when I started RVing around 2017 I saw Diesel in the 3's briefly and it steadily rose from there. Pandemic time hit and we were in the 5's and that's about I'll I've known to date, short of big discounts we had years ago with TSD (Open Roads) such as $1 off at Loves, etc. Now we're pushing $6 and I'm considering not going anywhere this winter and wait this out.

Neal - Don't "wait it out". Go forth while the debauched fiat dollars in your cash bank balances and arriving income streams can still buy something AND is still under your discretionary control.

Not to panic anybody or get political here, but unspent cash is like a banana left on a sunny kitchen windowsill. Leave it unused for a while and it becomes black, runny and needs thrown away, useless to your purpose.

If comes to pass any of the dire potential circumstances of money printing increasing further to cover national debt, or a Greece-style "haircut" (reverse interest on bank accounts), or some carrying out of the "sieze the means of production" nuttiness being promoted, we will all here wish that we had "made hay while the sun shined".

My 2500 Crew diesel sleeps at the moment with a full tank of Unicorn Diesel, (bought for $4.79 undiscounted credit card rate on 12 August when $5.19 was the local price prevailing here). Soon as the air bag suspension trim install wraps up, the race is on to travel as much as possible before the next national calamity op unfolds!

Enjoy while you can. You will not avoid the price increase no matter what. Everything you eat, buy, use is shipped by diesel trucks. Whether mining raw goods, shipping them to the factory, agriculture and final delivery, these prices will effect out lives whether we rv or not.

As much of my YouTube feed is related to retirement planning, etc. etc. one line stuck out from them all:

So yeah, spend it while you can, live your life while you can. I know...just sticker shock at the moment.

I was going to fill up at the Liberty station down the road on the way to the next stop as it was 5.92 at the pump. Okay, that's reasonable. I checked Gas Buddy this morning, it's $6.42 now. I'll pass.

Does anyone know the price of diesel delivered by coach-net?
