Trump Administration Announces Latest Action to Address Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) System Complaints, Saves American Farmers and Truckers Over $13 Billion Annually | US EPA

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has taken to address nationwide concerns from farmers, truckers, motor coach operators, and other diesel equipment operators regarding Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system failures.

I suspect this will have even less effect on what auto manufacturers do than the relaxation of fuel economy requirements did.

It's a change authorizing a software change only which will enable normal to near normal operation for up to 4 wks after a DEF system failure in non farm vehicles and up to 36 hours in farm equipment.
Which will go a long way towards solving the problems farmers are facing today.
