Do tankless water heaters work in Colorado?

Hi folks,

In my research about travel trailers (thinking about getting one for the first time), I came across some information that suggests tankless water heaters don't work (well) in elevation over 4500ft. I live in Texas and my main destination if/when I get a trailer is Colorado, where elevation is often 5k-10k ft. It seems that most manufacturers are making TT with tankless water heaters for the past 5 years (Grand Design, Alliance). What are the options then? Are there still brands/models that come with tank-type heaters in the under-30ft TT trailers?

Interesting! We all know that food cooks slower, but that is because water boils at lower temperature. Generators need to be tuned for proper air to fuel mixture. Heaters run at lower BTUs. So then there's the question of does the water heater not function, or does the user that lives at lower elevation just expect to much from the conditions.

My tankless works well at 9500 feet but the refrigerator has problems.

I have a Fogatti Tankless water heater in my 2019 Canyon star. We have used it at 8500ft without any issues.

upon reading the 200+ comments to that video (by a RV tech), I found that almost everybody that owns a tankless water heater said it worked fine for them at high altitude. so that's probably a false statement. hew! I thought it's almost a catch-22 as most TTs have tankless now.

Is that a gas/electric fridge or a 12V fridge. Can't imagine a 12V really carring what altitude its at.
