Thanks, R O! That's a good perspective. What was enlightening about seeing both of those fender benders was that the "turning across" scenarios often present a high chance of misjudging the other vehicle's entry into the space. One turner lacked a green arrow at an intersection light, other was at a pull out to cross an island divider on a divided 4 lane and just misjudged the dynamics of someone that curved across into where he was coming out from.

(I have been riding motorcycles a long time and try to internalize a better plan of preventative action after seeing others make these mistakes.)
 
Old Kim Kommando. I have newer ones but never set them up. Hope I never need it.
