Read an article in RV Travel about tipping the campground help. I've never even thought of it to be honest. But why not? I mean, they're employees too and if they provide us with good or beyond service, don't they deserve a tip?

The "do you tip" comes up in various areas for example my last visit to Newmar, the tech did a great job (until I found damage they'll be repairing after I returned home) so I asked others if they tip techs during service visits. This comes up for factory pickups and typically the answer is yes, if you want, for that. For service visits, I have never, the answer I got from others was NO. If it makes you feel better do it, if the service was above and beyond, consider it. My concern would be is conditioning workers to expect tips and then those that don't stand out and may not receive good service after that point. I remember being in grocery stores or establishments that put up signs either so and so accepts tips or not to tip which takes the pressure and wonder out of the question.

I’ve never thought of it either. Typically, I don’t have a lot of interaction with CG staff other than when checking in.

No.

I fly solo often and if someone from the campground acts as a spotter getting into a tight site, then yes I’ll tip but I have had a few decline the tip and say it isn’t necessary as it is a service they gladly provide.

If someone does something above and beyond worthy of recognition financially, I have no problem. Sometimes that comes in the form of a cash tip, a referral, or repeat business. Depends on the situation.

Agree completely with this statement. About the only service I receive after checking in is the cart picking up my trash when I leave it out (if the resort has this service). However, someone going out of their way to serve/help me will always get my appreciation and $.

No but I pick up trash and lend staff and other campers a hand when I can help.
