Good morning Winnebago owners! My name is Beth and we are trying to decide the kind of RV we want. The C class sprinters look a little too cramped but the Sunstar seems to have a little more room and not too big. Has anyone had experience or had first hand reviews?

We have a 2015 Winnebago Vista 27N. We bought it in 2016 and still are camping with it. We've been to Newfoundland, Alaska and are currently in Oregon. We live in Maine.

We purchased a Vista 26P new in 2011. We full timed in it for over seven years logging just over 100,00 Km. We sold it last spring and it was still running strong but it was beginning to need more and more maintenance. We did not have any serious mechanical issues for the most part. We had the engine oil replaced with Mobile1 at 3000 km. Oil and filter was changed every 5000K using only Mobile1. The chassis A/C compressor failed under Ford's warranty but was never replaced as every Ford dealer we visited could not accommodate a Class A. When we needed A/C we just fired up the Genny and ran the roof air (that worked out very well as the entire coach was cooled). Our tires were replaced at 7 years but still had plenty of tread left. We had the propane tank serviced at 10 years (all they did was replace the fill valve). We had to replace the power step motor a few times and had the sprocket rebuilt at a machine shop. We never had a problem with the slides. It still had the original fridge (it never gave us any problems). The Range was famous for destroying grill grommets. The Counter top and dinette covering started to delaminate at about 8 years. We replaced the bath and kitchen faucets with residential at around 7 years. We replaced the toilet once and numerous water valves (that are quite easy to do). All in all it served us well until this year. We developed a water leak in a hose behind the toilet. It was difficult to reach but we finally we able to splice the hose. A heater hose that went from the engine cooling system to the heat exchanger in the house water heater burst when we were climbing the Grapevine heading into LA. We lost all of the engine coolant and of course the engine then overheated and shut down. We tied up traffic for a while. The factory decals looked rally bad. I could no longer polish the yellow from the headlamps and it was just starting to look trashy but it was 14 years old. It served us well. We would have stayed with Winnebago but the model we wanted was elusive. We could not find one. We now have a Jayco and it seems as well built as our Winny was but quite a bit more luxurious.
