Question Dometic cooler in basement, keep it or leave it?

In your RVing lifestyle, how important is a second/separate cooler from your main refrigerator/freezor? I added a Dometic CF-80 to my right forward basement and have enjoyed it for years solely for keeping drinks cold and easily accessible from the patio. As I'm entertaining longer term travel now basement space is becoming more of an issue having to carry inventory my business ships. It's temperature sensitive to some degree so keeping it in the back of my pickup bed under a lockable cover is not ideal but possible. I'm thinking of removing the Dometic CF-80 and using the right forward basement for storage instead, solely for the business inventory and packing materials. I realize this is partly a business decision, for now, but I wonder what the opinions are on the additional cooler, keep it or store it for now? How much are you using yours if you have one, could you do without it?

With just me and the wife our fridge is more than adequate to hold all our beverage needs. I have consider something like this but just don't need the additional fridge space. The convenience would be nice.

That will probably work for you, @Neal. But I love mine, and would never think about giving it up.

When I bought my first trailer I got rid of the ext mini fridge and used the space for my generator and electrical cords....

We use it for the drinks and snacks for entertainment outside , so that we don’t have to go inside.

This is one thing that I would love to have. We are only two also, but I'd love to be able to grab a cold one without going inside, same thing for the steaks and such for the grill.

We use it all the time, we don't eat beef, bison mainly, we get free shipping to our home so we stock the freezer

I would love to have an outside fridge (inc galley). I would gladly trade the outside entertainment center for one. I don't watch TV at all.

We toyed with the idea off and on over the 4 years of full time travel.

Would have been nice but the storage was more important in the long term.

If we had been doing shorter trips, like in our old class c, we would have had one (had a 12 volt cooler in that coach for outside).

We previously had a residential fridge in our 41' Cardinal which was amazing, but we have downsized to a 31' Cruiser Air with a 12-volt smaller main fridge. For our lifestyle, it's OK, but we do have what is considered a "beverage refrigerator" just a foot or two away from the main fridge. It's great for overflow. Additionally in our outside kitchen there is a nice sized refrigerator that we primarily use for storage of paper towels, napkins, non-refrigerated can food items, etc.

I would like one just for when we head south for the winter to be able bring more of my deer meat. Beyond that I've never had one, so I don't really miss one.

We have a Dometic CFX50 fridge/freezer in the basement which we use mainly as a freezer. Having the extra capacity works well for us, fewer trips to the grocery store. We also use it in the Jeep when off roading.
