Hello everyone.
I am at the tail end of a divorce and soon will have to move out of the house, as it will have to be sold.
I am a teacher but turned in my resignation, effective at the end of May. The public education system is horrific and I am done dealing with the sleazy, narcissistic criminals that run it.

My RV is a Casita Spirit Deluxe. Way too small, but it's what I have until I can sell it and get a class C. I am an artist, and I do illustration, photography, leather-crafting... so a C would be good by converting the bedroom to an office/studio/workshop.

My intention is to look for work at a college, teaching in the arts. I am in Arizona, but am leaning towards western NC for a change. I don't want to rush it or settle, as that can lead to disaster. So, I may live on the road for a while-doing my mural business, photography, teaching online...

Any advice on domicile, address? I am thinking of asking a friend here in AZ if I can list his address as where I rent. I don't want to do a domicile in some other state, then move let's say to NC or wherever, and need to change all my documents again.
Want to be able to buy a firearm if I want to, but I guess I'd have to drive to Arizona to do so under this circumstance.

Just wondering what the best way to go is, as I may wind up traveling all over the place for a while.

Thanks.

Why pay for real estate you're not using? Satisfy the travel bug and then think about buying, unless the property is working for you while you travel.

There are several states that allow you to having a mailing address as residency. See this for Full Time RV. Escapees Mail Service - Domicile & Residency - escapeesmailservice.com

If you are looking for a public school for employment there may be some residency restrictions. Also, NC likes to tax out of state registrations in RV Parks, might want to understand that aspect.

Best of luck during this difficult transition.

The house is gonna get sold. I just need to be able to have somewhere to legally call home. My thought is to ask a friend here if I can list his house as a rental, like I am renting a room. Not looking to rent for real or have any property while I am needing to fulltime.

Not looking at public schools. Looking at colleges.
I just joined escapees, so will check that out. Thanks.
