The tank itself will slide left/right and hence the piping.
 
Interesting. Mine are leaking on long trips. Not sitting still and I was concerned about getting the pipes to spread. On the old coach one has to use the biggest pair of channel locks I have ever seen to push the pipe into the black water tank and the slide it out again to reconnect.
