If you don't expect to be in significant rainy weather, my temporary solution would be to knock the broken glass out fully, cut a panel from building supply store clear plastic, and fasten it overlapping the outside frame, secured to four interior-side wood 1x2 corner spanner diagonal "cleats" using a screw (and washer under the screw head) run into the cleats from the outside, the cleats having been placed inside each of the four corners to give you something to run the screws into as clamping for the panel.
You would get full visibility from that and could drive unlimited distance. To keep rain out, buy a roll of aluminum foil tape used on attic duct work and do a tape overlap around the outside edge (We use Nashua 324A Premium foil, UL181A-P, 2.5" wide, from Home Depot or Lowes.) You can cut the tape narrower with scissors, the adhesive is much better than packing tape and the foil tape can be peeled off without residue when it is time to install the OEM panel.
Think outside the box. Get into the mindset of doing a viable workaraound to problems while on the road that "un-limits" the range of choices you have on what you might do next, and when! If you can make a mitigation that lets you drive unlimited distance and be fine for a while, you won't be "owned" by slow OEM or dealer parts sourcing that you can't control...
