Yes thanks for the post, and video. I guess I need to check mine.
I would advise everyone to check theirs. Most of us don't drive much at night, so this problem might be more prevalent than we know. Be good to find out before someone ends up with a fire.

Ha, just saw this thread mentioned on the Facebook Newmar Owners Group. So I'll update this thread. I took my London Aire to Newmar for service about 8 months ago and during the service, they replaced the wiring harness for me. No charge.

On ours, the headlights are on any time the ignition is on, so it might be in use more than one would think. I'd make sure the pin connections are clean and not corroded. Bad connection will generate heat due to higher amp draw.

It was brought to our attention last summer in MOAB. Another RVer pointed out my passenger side headlight was out. Sure enough, I checked bulbs...and looked for loose connections. High beams work. Low beams and DRL did not. I came across another thread and someone had to get a new harness and diode pack. I looked at my coach...and the new harness had been installed, under warranty, in 2018 by Newmar...at the Tampa Show. The recall still appears on Newgle. I studied the harness for loose pins or indication of a hot spot. Lo and behold...that Diode pack was melted. All three diodes failed continuity. I ordered a couple of them, from Mouser. Mouser Part# 571-DT04-4P-RT01. $30.65 each

before shipping and tax. The connector was burnt... and it was originally a MOLEX ML-XT 4-pin. They are no longer in production by MOLEX. Lo and behold...a Deutsch 4-pin connector is a direct replacement. So, I replacedbthe plug...and just waiting for the diode pack to arrive to try it out.

I'll post a few photos. Here's the tag on the recall harness.

Melted Molex Connector part of Harness Assembly

Burned Molex next to new Deutsch Connector. Pins were still good...so just replaced the charred case.
