Hi, my name is Audri, and I am planning to open a small RV park on approximately 2 acres in East Texas. Any advice on do's and don'ts, mentorship, or even encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome @audri. It sounds like a great venture and I hope the members here can help you out. I suggest creating an account for your new RV park so you can solicit feedback from the community. It does require a Commercial account upgrade to do so on the site. Please see the link below:
RVForums.com launched early November 2019 and with this community my goal is to provide a friendly community where everyone involved in the RV Lifestyle can communicate and participate. In this era of social media, particularly Twitter X, it's very easy to reach out to a company and ask a question or bring attention to a matter without the need for finding contact info, filling out contact us forms and going through so much red tape. The RVForums.com community is a great opportunity to communicate and learn from our vendors which we deal with often with our RV's, meet at RV rallies...
Go look at the Stillwater RVResort in Winona (just outside Tyler). Beautiful resort and priced right.
A couple of negative notes, all of the sites have obvious sloped level. The Park allows “day passes” for non campers from near by. They have a restaurant but treat it like a cheap bar.
