Hello all I have a 2019 Alpine 3710FL 5th wheel. The issue i have is I am getting power to all lights but no brakes. I usually slide the trailer brake slider control to make sure it works, but i am not getting nothing. I have replaced the switch in the truck with no luck. I am getting "Check trailer wiring" and a few seconds later i get "Trailer Connected". Could my problem be the cord itself. The tow vehicle is a 2018 duramax diesel 3500HD. Thank you.
 
It's possible. It could also be the connection between the male and female parts of the quick disconnect. Possibly a loose terminal screw inside the q/d cover on either the tow vehicle side or the trailer side. Lots of little things that can do this, and they all need to be looked at.

I had the same trouble till I put a bungie cord around the cable to pull it tight into the plug.
