Strange, we're seeing more and more first time visitors than ever before. And lots of return visitors too. Probably as Neal suggested, seasonal effects. This trip Starting Monday, so far camp grounds are empty. Large KOA in a Jennings Florida off I 75, only 4 rigs. Whole rows empty.
When planning this trip I had campground hosts say to me, the place is empty no need for reservations.
Is this Normal for this time of year??
Yes, end of summer and pre-snow bird season, last September was the same during our western trip, half full campgrounds every stopThis trip Starting Monday, so far camp grounds are empty. Large KOA in a Jennings Florida off I 75, only 4 rigs. Whole rows empty.

Probably so in Florida. Try back in January, different story I bet. This trip Starting Monday, so far camp grounds are empty. Large KOA in a Jennings Florida off I 75, only 4 rigs. Whole rows empty.

Something tells me the Canadian diaspora won't be the same this coming season.Probably so in Florida. Try back in January, different story I bet.
Good man. Welcome back (in advance). We will not let politics interfere with our travel plans.
True. May find a place to camp this winter. Lol.Something tells me the Canadian diaspora won't be the same this coming season.
See the Google Earth view attachment. We have booked our trip already. This is the first year we have been able to secure a spot in the Keys and the Everglades.True. May find a place to camp this winter. Lol.
Looks like you will only be about 45 minutes from where we stay in FL for the winter - while you are at Encore Ramblers.See the Google Earth view attachment. We have booked our trip already. This is the first year we have been able to secure a spot in the Keys and the Everglades.
We expect to cross the border (hoping the new paperwork is complete and accepted) October 01 this year so we will be in the Blue Ridge Parkway area in time to see the colors. Back in Canada for April 01 2026
Sorry Jim. We will be close to Deer Springs but we don't want to stay the minimum 3 days.
You might try this spot instead of the Alameda Fairgrounds. Both are less than 20 minutes from our home in Fremont.See the Google Earth view attachment. We have booked our trip already. This is the first year we have been able to secure a spot in the Keys and the Everglades.

We know the Fairgrounds are certainly not a destination but it's only a five minute drive to where our friends live in Pleasanton. Okay, lets be honest. The Fairground's RV Park is pretty much a dump (even the new section). You might try this spot instead of the Alameda Fairgrounds. Both are less than 20 minutes from our home in Fremont.

Pleasanton is a beautiful old town but the Quarry is a nicer park.
