F53 heater valve replacement

According to several sources, my heater valve is not functioning thereby not allowing the production of heat from the dash. Lot's of folks say it's an easy fix. However, I don't even know what this thing looks like or where it's located.

The heater unit is most likely under the dash. The two hot water feeds most likely are on the fire wall side of the big black box.
If you can see the temperature control panel where you adjust the temperature, follow the adjustment cable, it will lead you to the valve location.
