Finding campgrounds in unfamiliar territory.

In those rare cases we use google to search for a campground (if we can’t find a campground that we like with RVTW or Campendium) we just search “campground” and add the city name or add “near” city name.

I use Trip Wizard, RV Parky, other apps, AND Google Earth (important! ), scope out the neighborhood.

X2 on Google earth is a must so you can plan your entrances and exits. When they say big rig friendly they really don’t mean it because the trees and branches will scratch your rig almost always.

lol, guilty as charged! Glampdaddy, my very first Mountain Aire, and I had misjudged the size of it and how much room he needed. Had to cut some branches to get him in, and then some more branches to get him out.

Ended up just removing the trees completely. Needed the extra parking anyway.

Thank you, Steve. I gave up on it awhile back.

Edit: I just went back to the RV Parky site and they now have a completely different interface for adding new parks. So, i tried it again. We'll see what happens.
