I realize we should not gauge everyone by the same metrics, but I do believe we all get to a time that our reflexes are diminished as is our attention and other functions. At this point in our life, we are better suited to take a bus vs driving one.83 year old driver with 93 year old wife as passenger, both in hospital, hopefully not hurt bad.

I could just make it under that bridge - wouldn't want to actually try though.Unfortunately these folks are not alone in pealing the top back on their vehicle. This can happen to anyone.
The slightest bit of inattention allow this to happen.
Dealing with erroneous GPS directions. Reset your RV GPS where the GPS forgets your vehicle is 13'+ tall.
Growing up in the Northeast, I am particularly aware of low bridges. One of my first jobs was driving a local delivery truck. You learned quickly which routes to take and which to avoid.
