In some areas with little web access or cell service, we revert to using free air signals with a King Jack unit on the crank up holder coupled with a Winegard Sensar Pro panel. While at home in storage, I mistakenly left the switch set to antenna which pumps 12v through the coax to power the amplified antenna. Went to check out systems for our impending trip and found no signal from the OTA. After some troubleshooting (and regretfully another trip up to the roof) I found the coax connection center wire at the antenna had apparently corroded off from moisture meeting voltage destroying the coax connection on the antenna rendering it useless. New unit showing up today (Amazon). I also replaced the wire in the lift unit with a better coax. Just a heads up of another possible issue that could be easily avoided by just setting the switch to park cable when not in use.
