Imagine that
Just wanted to give a heads up on rv's with 3 ac,s Mine was advertised as including a 3rd ac with heatpump option. I asked the salesman and he confirmed oh yeah it has one. It was summer time and they didn't demonstrate it. The equipment listed acheatpump with a serial number so I felt confident it was their it wasn't. So after purchasing I find out no heatpump called salesman and he made a call. Long story short I get a call back from salesmanager at forest river Ray Boyd and he says he is awaiting approval to get the heat pump. Then I get a call from nick schrock regional sales manager for forest river and says they will honor it and get me a unit. I made app with dealer at fun time rv in TX. For 3 months later to have other items fixed. So I tell them what forest river said. Before I went down to drop-off the rv i called and asked if they have the heatpump to install. They can't get nick schrock to respond on approval. Lesson is dont trust dealer or forest river. Forest river has been ghosting me now for 6 months. This was a feature that really sold me on the unit. Very unhappy with the way they treat you. This is not uncommon when you ask around rv parks. I wished I had come to this forum 1st and seen all of the complaints I wouldn't have bought a new one.

So when you inspected the unit before buying it, you didn't notice there was no heat pump?

Get to the top with your calls. Someone eventually will listen.

Here is the sad truth about buying and owning any new RV. The factory warranty is next to worthless unless you want to drop your RV off at the dealership and leave it forever. Then it might get fixed or it might not. Only exception to this is if you buy a high end Newmar or Tiffin generally speaking.

The best option when buying new is to do a COMPLETE inspection. If anything is obviously wrong get it in writing that they will fix it by sending a mobile tech to you (if possible), then do not pay more than 30-35% less than MSRP. Lastly, fix all the minor issues yourself and you will be happier and end up with a better RV.
