Friend is having trouble putting fresh water in tank...says run 5 to 10 gallons and then starts running out overflow. he's thinking tank empty...i'll be back in Ohio wed to help him....he just had knee surgey and can't get down to really look at tank...I was curious if anyone has heard of any fresh water fill problem like this...2019 DS 4081

If it’s coming out the overflow, his tank is full.

He should be able to see the fresh tank if you look under the wet bay board. It sits right behind it. Maybe use a flashlight.

The fresh water tank generally does not have vent….

All of mine have had vents. My current rv wouldn't fill very well and I found a kink in the vent line and now it works well.

When you mean vent, do you mean the overflow?

Yes. When filling the tank the air in the tank must be vented to allow it to take water. When the tank is full it will run water out. I have had rv's in the past that would indicate they were full through the vent but by stopping the fill process for a minute (burping) and then adding more water i could fill the tank.
