Fresh water tank problems

The fresh water tank on my coachmen clipper has black gunk inside, kinda like the consistency of silly puddy, gunk. It stopped up the water pump first time we used it. I've tried to drain it and flush it with not luck. It comes out in globs, it does disolve in the water. I put a bleach mix in and it's currently setting for 24 hrs hoping that breaks it down.

Anybody had this experience?
Any other solutions?

Question - Fresh Water tank has black particles?

2000 Roadtrek Popular 190 has black particles in Fresh Water tank. I’ve tried to flush it out with a hose and draining simultaneously. Could it be mold? Not rust I hope! Would a cleaning agent be advised? If so, a chlorine mixture w/water?
