Greetings-
We purchased a 2022 Allegro RED 340 38LL this summer. It now has 24,200 miles on the odometer. The original owner added Safe-T-Plus. When I first drove it it pulled to one side so I had that issue resolved by a big truck alignment shop in Nashville. Then I started noticing that when I hit 38 to 42 MPH, the front end shakes. Faster and slower than this window, no shaking front end. Two weeks ago I took it to a shop to have the front wheels balanced. This made absolutely no difference.

Is it possible the front tires are out of round? The tires are the original Michelin.

I'd like to know if this issue has happened to anyone here.

Thank you,

Laurent Perron

If it was out of alignment ,it wore the tires unevenly..Realigning and balancing wont correct the tire wear. I believe thats your issue , if theres no broken belt in a tire and no loose bearing or steering component

Thank you for your comment.

I just read some great posts from a thread called Front End Shaking. It sounds like one or both of my front Michelin tires are either mounted wrong or out of round.

If the tires are not steer tires, try rotating to rear. If that corrects the problem, you have a defective tire that balancing will never correct.

I had a similar issue with a previous motorhome; it was a bent, not out-of-round, wheel.

Did any shop do a runout? They can use a dial indicator to accurately measure the radial and lateral runout of your tires and determine if the issue is with the tire, the wheel, or another component.

We had a similar shaking, but on the rear. And it was the same problem - a bent wheel. We just lived with it and when we got new tires the balancing was done with “ground force” type load.
They showed me - without the load being placed on the tire during the spin everything looked fine. But once they put the load on the tire the wobble was visually obvious.
New wheel and now the annoying vibration at certain speeds is gone from the rear of the coach.
