Fumoto valve extension adapter?

Just took possession of our new-to-us Newmar Bay Star 3626.

Does anyone use a Fumoto valve? I've used in our two previous motorhome; first mh had the GM engine, second mh had the Ford V10 and now this mh has the Ford V8.

I know which Fumoto valve to buy, but wondering ...

DOES THIS ENGINE NEED THE 1/2" EXENSION ADAPTER ?
