I finally got to use the new to me 770 on a 40 mile trip yesterday - very nice. Overall, much nicer display (touch like a cell phone) and user interface looks good. I will have to get used to the beeping that happens when it is trying to warn you about something and the whole screen (it seemed the whole screen) changing colors to alert you.
I have not had a chance to plan a trip yet on it, maybe in May. For the $160.00 I spent on it (a refurb), seems well worth it.

“Driver Alerts” can be customized; disabling ones you don’t care to receive, ie. RR crossings.

You can also adjust the volume of those alerts, separate from other sounds.

Browse through the Settings; you’ll find what you need.
