Greasing the chassis there are a few Zerks that are very difficult to access. The top of the King Pins are the most difficult and the front of the steering Box can be tough. Spicer provides a nice diagram indicating the location of various Zerk fittings.
Also this is the first authoritative source that addresses whether or not to have a load on the Kingpins when you apply grease.

Question: There are a number of ways to resolve the difficulty in greasing the top Kingpin Zerk. Install a 45 or 90 degree Zerk or get a tool that works in a very low clearance Zerek. What is a better way to resolve this problem?

I guess you would need to decide what would be your best option. 45* and 90* zerks can be a wonderful thing! One thing that I have done is add another hose to my grease gun.

Purchased several potential solutions. First is a 90 degree attachment and the extension to the grease gun. The extension allows grease to be applied with practically zero clearance. The other is a 45 and 90 degree Zerk to replace what is on the Kingpin housing.
