Hello and thank you for being there.

I read some of the posts and decided this is the place for my very first RV adventure (if I can convince my wife, that is).

We want to ride our bikes on the Great Allegheny Passage. Great Allegheny Passage
Most people would fly there (we live in San Diego) rent bikes in Pittsburgh, and have a lovely time riding along the Allegheny River.

But there is one problem.

How to get Sam (the one in the trailer) there?

So I started thinking of driving. We hate driving. But this might we worth it.
My main question to you fine folks is: has anyone driven to, or along, the GAP?

Are there places to park a van? Camp with a Van. I'm thinking we would find a campground and spend the night, ride the GAP out and back. Perhaps find someone along the way to drive the sag-van-wagon???

Most of the camping along the GAP is geared to bike-tent camping. So I'm not sure we can find a place for our rented Sprinter camping van.
Any ideas much appreciated.

Maybe we can meet up with some of you along the way!

Gratefully, Dadla and Sam.
PS. My wife does not know about this so I am not including her herein. Mum's the word ;)

Welcome. You'll love the RV life, an amazing journey.
