Glad all worked out, sorry it cost you money.

Agree with @TJ&LadyDi. Dealing with dual warranty issues I sit here in Avondale, Arizona. Hydraulic pump is attached to the side of Cummins engine but not covered by them, it is Spartan that wanted it. Spartan is covering under warranty but then came Spartan doesn’t ship parts overnight at their expense. I asked Cummins to please request overnight shipping as I didn’t want to sit in their parking lot for 3–5 days and if they weren’t successful I would be calling Spartan and Newmar requesting either party to cover overnight shipping cost.

Spartan stepped up and covered the cost for overnight shipping, will know for sure tomorrow.

Parts arrived, I now hope Cummins will replace and in a timely manner as work performed for @Neal

wow! glad you got it worked out. the thing with belts and things like them, most warranties consider them a ware/maintenance item and don't cover them. that being said if they needed to come off to perform the work you should only be asked to pay for parts only.

Update....with what I thought was an oil leak and turned out to be the hydraulic pump. This is on Spartan chassis and pump is used to drive the fan on side radiator. Before disassembled they weren’t sure if it was a gasket failure or the actual pump that was leaking so they asked Spartan to send both which they did.

Yesterday they removed pump and found the gasket to be the issue, it came off in pieces and was quite brittle. This is on an engine that has less than 2500 miles. Gasket replaced, reassembled and driven to check for leaks with no leaks found. Due to location of pump and proximity to after treatment labor time was 6 hours, covered by Spartan.

Coach was at Cummins Coach Care facility (Rocky Mountain Cummins) in Avondale, AZ and happy to report that they were very professional, clean facility with 8 50amp spots to park. I would definitely use them again but hope I don’t need to?

when you refer to the gasket, where is the gasket located?

Hydraulic pump located on passenger side of engine, gasket between pump and engine case. I have only driven approximately 200 miles so not 100% sure it was only gasket. Will be driving another 150 miles tomorrow and made sure area was cleaned up so should have good indication if solved.

I can take picture if needed on location
