What ways have you all came up with to have an efficient propane heater that regulates temp and needs no electricity??? Vented of course. If you know of such, whats it called and where can i get one? Thanks. Bill

Welcome to RVForums @Hotdoggin. I don't have experience with the propane question so others hopefully can chime in but welcome aboard.

Welcome to RVF, @Hotdoggin; glad you found your way here.

After more than 50 years of RVing, I have never run across a propane heater to use indoors that I felt was safe. There are a number of catalytic propane heaters, but all of them consume oxygen and none (that I've found) have a thermostat to regulate heat.

This is why we have a big generator in our coach for when the power goes out.

People that follow their own path take chances. Or so I have been told. I have used Olympic wave 8 without any problem. well the problem is there is no thermostat. I use a 3 brick heater, no they are not vented but following the owners manual are safe enough. I seldom heat at night, but then I travel for temperature. Have used these heaters, now 20 years and counting. we are still kicking and well.

Thanks Kevin. I need to look these up. Wondering where you get them?

Ok. Found them. Turns out i am quite familiar. These are high quality units. So much so that a trucking company used these in the trailers for freeze control. Low consumption and easily kept the semi trailers avove 32deg.

Care to post a link so the rest of us can see what you're talking about? Thanks! ?
