Help; 97 Adventur - Maps light not working

Yah, clean the socket and make sure the ground wire if there is one is connected to proper ground.and that should take care of it. If the ground wire is not grounded should be a lug, maybe on frame close to batteries
 
I can’t follow the grounding wire from the Map Light, I looked for a grounding lug by the battery but all I saw was the white wire on one of the house batteries, please take a look at the attached photos. Thanks

Yup! the instrument cluster part of the dash will swing up. The fuse block is under the dash. cluster.
