I'm a newby to RV camping & travel.
If I may I'd like to ask for your advice/recommendations on the best antenna to get so that we can watch TV?

Welcome. Other than what is on your rig, I will have to defer to someone with more knowledge and experience in that area.

There are a number of external TV antennas available on Amazon and many other outlets - and they work with varying degrees of success. A lot of the success is going to depend on how close you are to a mid-size or major market that has television stations.

Personally we use YouTube TV and stream all of our television on our Internet connection at home and in the RV and that enables us to switch to local market stations anywhere we go and we aren't limited to the physical limits of over-the-air television signals. And, our recorded programming goes with us when we travel.

TV signals travel via line-of-sight. Unless you and the broadcast tower are both on top of flat, unblocked mountains, physical limitations cap realistic reception at 30 to 60 miles for mobile use, despite many purporting "amplified signal booster" that allegedly brings in signals from thousands of miles away.

Does your RV have a roof-mount TV antenna already? If so - what type is it?

I'm often amazed at how many channels my Stock Wineguard antennae pulls in, I did add the bat wing.

Welcome aboard. Since RVs are obviously mobile and over the air signals are limited by distance from the source we use wifi. Starlink might be a choice you may want to look into.
