Hot water and heat

Does the propane need to be on for the hot water and heat to work? Can you get hot water w/o the propane on? Same question about heat.

Depends on your unit(s). My water heater will work on electricity or propane. My furnace is propane only. Thus, I plug in a stand alone electric (space) heater if on power. Hope this helps.

It does thanks. On the water heater, is there a switch somewhere other than on the main panel in the cabin?

Not sure about your model, but our switch for the water heater is in the panel inside the coach. I doubt if they would put a switch on the water heater itself. Good luck

We have propane heat but also have heat pumps built into our AC units. We use the Heat Pumps when plugged into shore power and propane if temps are below 40 degrees or boondocking.
