The cupholder near the passenger seat has cracked and I'm attempting to repair. I put some superglue into the crack and also mixed up and applied some clear epoxy. I reattached the cupholder a few days later after the epoxy cured. Unfortunately as I tightened the screw the glue and epoxy didn't hold.
I'm looking for ideas on how to repair. I'm considering a several inch long metal plate epoxied to the inside ring of the cupholder that would extend on each side of the screw. Thinking it may spread the pressure along more of surface area.
Thoughts?
