HWH Active Air issue - left front cycling up and down while air leveled

I don't think it's a leak. I think it's a valve that is not closing all of the way. When air is filled and then the valve closes it shouldn't allow air to flow back out and that's what I think is happening. The question is where is that valve? Is that the transducer?

The check valve looks interesting but I think checking that manifold assembly for leaks is key right now as well and swapping transducers. I think (hope) the problem lies within that box and its components.

According to Mitch’s note, he thinks it’s a solenoid. If air were leaking externally you would think 1/2 dozen man hours of looking would have noticed it.

Well, seems easy enough. Any reason you haven’t replaced it to see if it resolves the issue? I remember before even getting AA @redbaron suggested getting a spare solenoid. At install I asked and they said no. Guessing I’ll get a solenoid and transducer from them.

My 80 year old body just didn’t want to try after my frustrations trying to change parts on the controller above the rear drive axle. It’s so hard to get to that the AA tech at HWH said it was difficult for him and required, for sure, that the coach be on a raised platform at head height. I haven’t even wanted to look at the front module but I will tomorrow and if I can get to it easily I’ll give it a shot. I know I deserve it but don’t shame me too much.

And I think we may be lucky for that, the one that has an issue is the one we can access. Jerry, I'm sure you've seen the aux compressor for HWH and probably had the ground wire issue if I recall, as did I. Right next to that is the contraption with the transducers and all.

When I get my coach to storage I'll do a quick test and leak check of that area and see if it reveals anything. But I'll also wait and see what HWH says and I may order two transducers, solenoids, and a check valve assembly for at least spare parts.

Using the link you provided it looks like we can use it to order parts if needed. I was just dabbling, not cheap of course for spares so will continue to try and identify before anything is ordered.

First step - leak check
Second step - swap the two transducers and see if the issue switches sides following the change

Joe called while I was driving so I explained the situation. He seems very knowledgeable and agreed with my theory that the valve that opens to push air in the airbag for air leveling is not closing or sealing so it's leaking back out within the system as both of us can't find leaks. He told me the way they test is the remove the muffler on the manifold (the contraption we've been talking about, up front near the compressor) and they attach a tube to that port and put the other end in a jar of water to see if it bubbles. I asked him what's the fix and I'll order the part now to get it on the way. He said it's simple to replace, he's supposed to email me. I checked my email to see if I could get the part number but all I have is an invoice so I'll have to wait for it to arrive. It was around $215 for the part so I think it's the solenoid. He thinks debris got in it and that's what's preventing it from sealing.

Mine seems to be behaving and I'm at end of trip so I won't dive into troubleshooting right now and may wait for my next trip to see how things go but I'll definitely go to storage, in fact today I may do an air level and check the muffler for leaks while I'm there to see if there's anything obvious.

But in the end, I suggest calling Joe and talk to him of your issue @J&JD and maybe have send you the same part and let's see if in the end it really is something stupid simple. 563-946-6002 is the caller ID.
