I am not sure, what pressure is released. The two screw hold the top piece on to the motor which is attached to the reservoir. Apparantly there are O rings involved, but that part is under pressure when the moto ris running.
A mechanic friend of mine said that bolt ussually only break like that when they are over torqued. If that is the case, then it is definitely on them.
Btw, on the Bay Star all but the front passenger side jacks were easy to tie up. That last one is a bear, because Newmar has a slew of wires at the top of the bracket, so there is no central place to hold the jack straight up. I tried several approaches, all involvingthe spring leaf. I spent at leat an hour and a half at truck stops and rest areas redoing this one as it kept loosening in transit. Did not think about the fact that the leaf springs flex, thus the loosening. I will try another approach tomorrow. Still two days before I reach the tech.
They don’t show this aspect of RVing on those wonderful videos.
