Currently in Groton CT, heading to Jackson NJ.
GPS: Garmin RV785 is routing me south on 95, west on 287, south on 87, to GWB.
RV Trip Wizard is routing south on 95 straight to and across GWB

Anyone travel these routes? which do you think is better?
TIA

I personally would not trust RV Trip Wizard for routing. I use it mainly for campground finding and route analysis followed by any other methods as needed. But it sounds like you need to do a little research for clearances based on your params, etc.

@Neal you are so right. I usually trust GPS over Trip Wizard 99.9% of the time. Not sure why I didn't this time ( I guess not enough coffee this morning) I google Earth the route and there are a lot of 18 wheelers on these roads so I'm confident I have the clearance especially on the upper deck of the GWB.

I’d take RT 287 White Plains to Tappan Zee bridge across The Hudson. (AKA cuomo bridge )
Cross Bronx and GW is always heavy traffic and unpredictable.

For instance Gov Christie closed two lanes of the GW because he was in a pissing match with an opponent. NYC area is just too unpredictable in my opinion.

off-topic story

It involved a staff member and political appointees of then-governor Chris Christie colluding to create traffic jams in Fort Lee, New Jersey by closing lanes at the main toll plaza for the upper level of the George Washington Bridge.

Good memory @Joe Hogan . That was about 10 years ago before we went FT. We lived in NJ. I've done that route several times, even though it adds 45+ miles to the trip. Thought I'd try something different this time

You might try online bridge cameras

Or maybe a better look at the area
