I am researching values on Motorhomes in case I want to sell mine. I then get an email from a from a big RV chain" Find out what Yours is worth" is the title. I plan on selling mine like a lot of people do with a sign & price in the window, but why not see what they say about value. I click the link and taken to their sight to fill in my name, email and Phone. Then I am taken to a page that wants all kinds of info on me. Not interested in that so I close out the browser and forget about it. Even though I did not complete and submit the page. I got a call from their representative wanting to buy my motorhome.🤣 I told him I was not interested in whoesaling my rig but he would not give up. I said fine I will give you the info but don't call back if your price is under $50k. He did not care about any extras in the motorhome such as battery bank or solar. I just laughed and figured I would never hear back. When it comes to selling it I will do what I and many people do, put a sign with a fair price in the window and use it until it sells. If you have a better way, let me know what works for you. The dealer tactic must work for the dealers or they would not do it.

How deep do you want to go down the rabbit hole? OK, they call it a marketing funnel in internet marketing, I call it a rabbit trap.

The minute you give any information and click to the next page they have you! You have given them your golden keys. Best information I can give you is don't give your information! However, if you must get a junk mail account for that kind of thing. Never give a phone number that you're not ready to give up.

As for the value of your property? Work at getting the value you will be happy with.

That's it, I have nothing else for you.

I get it. it's a marketing company and not a RV dealer. They sell the info to the RV Dealer. I am going to have some fun with this. One of the advantages to being retired-lots of time on my hands. 🤣

I have a junk email account and a junk phone # using Google Voice.

We sold our 5th wheel a few years back on RV Trader. It was fairly easy. Someone purchased locally. It would have been more of an issue to sell long distance. We were in 20k range so not big money. I think I paid around $50 to list it.
