Here is where it all started

Long story and not important but I ended up with a 36 Ford 5 W. When I went under the dash and the hood, there was so much extra wiring. Almost like redundant switches and wires to nowhere.
I went to work and ended up removing at least 210' of useless wiring in a pile.
My idea of wiring is less is more. I hid as much as possible and neatly bundled the rest.

That’s the result of Edison’s direct current before (Nikola Teslas) alternating current came along and greatly reduced the necessary wires. I’m sure many know how Edison attempted a major disinformation campaign against Tesla and especially alternating current. Edison had hired Tesla years earlier and took many of Tesla’s ideas and barely paid or credited him. Edison, much like the Wright Brothers, were true Americans in that they sued and threatened anyone attempting to cut into their profits by claiming anything remotely related to their inventions was a patent infringement (reduction in profits), inferior and even too dangerous and as a result many better ideas were unnecessarily delayed and some outright killed by these egotistical and greedy “entrepreneurs”. Sound familiar?
Anyway, I still think Americas over use of above ground wiring is antiquated, unsafe and an ugly blight on the landscape.

Your picture - Bowler hats really need to make a fashion comeback. Long overdue if you ask me. Bell bottoms have come and gone several times but bowler hats?? Not. Let's hope their time is soon . . . .

Must be time to get rid of your coach, Joe. I hear they neatened up the wiring in the new ones. I know where you can graciously donate yours. 🤣🎶😎
