Need help, I have an 2012 Monaco Knight. I am having trouble with it starting every time. I turn the ignition switch and sometimes it just clicks, and sometimes it will start up. I have had the starter rebuilt already and have had several Rv guys look at it to no avail. Can someone help? Do I need a new ignition switch. Anyone else having this problem.

Motor homes are great! I say that because you get to spread your wealth around!!!

As an example. If you have a chassis problem, you take it to a mechanic! If you have a house problem, you take it to an RV guy!!!

Keep it in mind that many chassis parts are related to and made for the RV manufacturer, so the mechanic is at a loss!!!

However in your case take it to a mechanic rather than an RV guy!

My 2006 Cayman sometimes plays as dead as if its batteries had been stolen until I press D or R and then repress N on the shift control, after which it starts normally. Something in the electronics of the transmission's starter lockout circuitry is probably going bad but hasn't yet failed.

The neutral switch on the transmission! My guess is the shifting linkage needs adjusting.
