INTECH explore water

Simple question I think but can’t find an answer online. (INTECH Explore 2025 - first RV)
I have a water hook up connection and a larger port next to it for filling my fresh water tank, I’m pretty sure. There is a pump switch to push water to an external hose.
Question: Are these two sources joined somehow? Do I choose which source I use … again somehow. No manual, nothing I can find on INTECH site. Just curious how this works just in case.

Yes.

I have an intech sol, but the system should be pretty similar. The plumbing in mine is all under the bed at the back of the rv. The hose connection for hookup (40-80psi feed) goes to a pvc pipe manifold that feeds into the hot water tank and the main line. So when you are connected to line pressure, there’s no need for the pump as the pressure applied from your inlet hose pressurizes the whole system.

The tube you can fill up the holding tank through is also connected, but has a small pump in the line that will pressurize the system from the holding tank. Same deal, it pumps water to the hot water tank and through the whole system. So when you use the external hose, you can source the water from either the mains or the tank+pump, or both combined for that matter if you want. They all feed the same manifold that supplies every tap, including the external hose.

Take a look around in there, the red handles are for the hot water system and the blue for cold. Trace the lines yourself so you know what’s going on. And check out how to clean the filter on your pump, mine got plugged up with some plastic bits left over from installing the tanks during manufacturing, slowed the flow for a bit.
