Best to test it to validate your setup. When you change the temp such as set it to a higher range you'll see the relay show "active" instead of "inactive" and then feel the heating pads to ensure they are working.

If I did this over again I'd probably suggest to SES to not wrap the batteries in the heating pad but instead put it underneath them to ensure all cells in the battery are evenly heated.

I rewired mine as I was stupid at SES install time and instead had them wire my basement ventilation fans to the relay so I had to wire up the heating pads through an external relay, etc. Something I learned how to do thanks to @Stuart W educating me about relays years ago when I wired up my sani-con to be turned on/off from within the coach. Good stuff, especially when it all works.

The coach is in storage, but I set the temp up and it went to active. But I'm not 100% sure it is heating. The ambient 55F at 3 am and then the front started moving in. 21F now and 30 mph winds and on the way to the low teens where it will stay for 3-4 days. (Typical Oklahoma). I will watch it a while and may have to get off the couch and go to storage (30 minutes away) to verify operation.
