The fan should only run with a fair load.

After consulting with a repair tech and trying a few tests, it seems as if the inverter has given up the ghost. Now it won't even pass power to the coach. To simplify installation, I ordered another Magnum ($$$:(). At least the new one is compatible with Lithium for the next battery change out. Now, to try to get the old one out is my next adventure....

Thanks for the update….same model?

MS2812-L-U. Newer model that will work with Lithium, or so I'm told.

Thanks Buddy, I just got the old one out and waiting for the new replacement. What a PITA it was to pull it out from up between the frame rails. In the end, gravity helped, but I ended up with a bloody arm.

Got the new inverter delivered yesterday and installed it this morning. (kudos to Peter at Inverter supply in Royal Palm Beach. Fast shipping and comparable prices) I stuck with Magnum because it was the easiest way without changing wiring or control panel, and since the original lasted 10 years, I'm happy with that life span. I will say, if you plan on doing this yourself, have some assistance getting this thing back up on the platform. I blocked it up off the floor, heavy end down, adding 2x4s on each end, one at a time, until I got it close to being able to tip it over to its mount. Took about 3 hrs install (lots of double checking on the wiring) but I'm delighted to say it's working perfectly, thank God! 🙌

BTW, here's a pic of the old one. The fans are actually good, which surprised me. The "heavy" end is the one with the big chunk of transformer...
